Laboratory for chromatographic analysis

The laboratory for chromatographic analyzes was established in 2020 by the unification of:
- The laboratory for analysis of organic substances in complex matrices (project for equipping laboratories of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia)
- The laboratory for liquid chromatography (equipped within the project of the Seventh Framework Program of the European Commission REINFORCEMENT OF THE WBC RESEARCH CAPACITIES FOR FOOD QUALITY CHARACTERIZATION, implemented from 2008-2011, https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/ 204756),
- The laboratory for the analysis of hexachlorocyclohexanes (equipped within the project implemented by UNOPS "Nordic Support for Progress of North Macedonia" financed by the Kingdom of Norway, implemented in 2020-21)

Interest:

Identification and quantification of organic substances in various samples:
- analysis of pesticides and other substances from the European priority list in the environment (water, soil, air),
- analysis of harmful substances in food products and packaging,
- analysis of harmful substances in food products as well as in consumer products,
- analysis of phenolic components in different samples of plant origin (fruits, apples, juices, wine, etc.),
- analysis of bioactive compounds in medicinal and aromatic plants,
- analysis of pharmaceutical preparations and raw materials for the characterization of active components and impurities,
- analysis of forensic samples (drugs and psychotropic substances, explosives, etc.).

The laboratory is accredited in accordance with the MKS EN ISO 17025: 2018 standard for testing organochlorine pesticides in air and organochlorine pesticides and polychlorinated biphenyls in soil. The accreditation certificate no. LT-089 can be seen here: link to sertificate (iarm.gov.mk).
