Course objectives (competences):
Students will acquire fundamental knowledge about polymers, polymeric materials and their applications.

Course content:
Polymeric molecules. Chemistry of polymeric molecules, molar mass, polydispersity, structure, configuration and conformation. Methods for determining polymer structure. Thermoplastic and thermosetting polymers, Copolymers, Crystallinity, Phase transitions. Application of polymers in appropriate polymeric materials.
