Laboratory for chemical modification of surfaces

Interest:

Modification of different types of surfaces (primarily silica gel and glass) through functionalization in order to:
- change the physical and chemical properties of the substrate
- providing possibility for further modification (heterogeneous catalysts)
- spectroscopy investigation and characterization of the obtained modified substrate using IR and Raman spectroscopy
- Investigation of the surface characteristics: wettability, contact angle, surface energy and charge of the modified surfaces.

Cooperation:

- Friedrich Schiller Universität Jena, Faculty of Physical Chemistry, Jena, Germany
- Institute of Photonic Technology, Jena, Germany
- Faculty of Chemistry and Mineralogy, Leipzig, Germany
- University in Lodz, Faculty of Chemistry, Lodz, Poland
- Merseburg University of Applied Sciences, Merserburg, Germany
- Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Salerno, Italy
