Course objectives (competences):
Application of fundamental concepts of theoretical and practical chemistry to forensic sciences. Understanding of the chemical nature and analytical approach for the analysis of drugs, fires, explosives, fibers, paper, polymers, and other types of evidence.

11.

Course content:
Introduction to forensic chemistry. Quality control. Sample collection and preparation.
Screening techniques, thin-layer chromatography, immunoassays.
Chemical analysis of forensic evidence: drugs, arson, explosives, fibers, paper, polymers.
Classification and analysis of drugs and the use of analytical techniques for drug analysis.
Practical techniques accompanied by calculations in forensics.
